Is finally out too.

Before I started translating this series, I rented “Furefure Shojo”, a 2008 movie where a high school bookworm girl joins the cheerleading squad (which is down to its last member) because she falls in love with the baseball ace pitcher. She manages to recruit additional members and is then appointed squad leader. Their first actual cheering turns out to be a disaster, when the legendary squad leader steps in and offers to train them…

The actual practice scenes and the cheering scenes during the baseball matches helped me get a better idea of what the squad members go through, and what the cheerleading songs sound like.

Since the official announcement is out, I guess I can write that I’ll be translating/adapting Fujieda Toru’s Dragon Girl. The setting is an all boys high school which becomes co-ed, and the heroine (one of the first batch of girls to attend the school) tries to join an all-male cheering squad, where her father was the legendary squad leader.
