Is out.

Because there’s so much text per page in the fanbook than a regular manga page, the first couple days working on it was frustrating, because I would be translating and translating and only get a few pages done in one hour. It took a while until I got used to the slow pace.

The artbook came out today, together with Vol. 12.

The cover illustration is a new illustration, and there’s a poster version of it inside, as well as photos and comments explaining the steps taken in drawing it.

There’re information in the back about when each of the illustrations were first published, with comments from Hino-sensei. There’s also a message to the readers as well.

In the original, Kaname mentions that Shizuka’s “taboo name” was Kuruizaki-hime. In ancient Japan, people had two names, their alias and their true name. The true name was only told to people you could trust. It was believed that if your true name was found out, spells could be cast on you using that true name. True names were also called “taboo name”, which is the term used here.
