The fourth catalog came out yesterday as well. This time the story involves the first “M” key, and ties together the previous three stories in a surprising way.

Because the latest chapter is a lot bloodier than the previous chapters, there was a red bustier/skirt coordinate. The last black coordinate was the witch that also appears in the story.

Designer Z8 mentioned that the fifth catalog (the last one) should be out by the end of year.

I was at the parabolica bis gallery in Asakusabashi last month to see a BJD exhibition. The gallery sponsored a Baby exhibition last year, and a Baby-Takemoto Novala collab tarot was made then.

The cards come in three sizes: small playing-card sizes, cards that look like regular tarot card sizes, and cards that look like postcard sizes. On the front are photos of original Baby and PIRATES textile patterns and clothes, as well as portraits of Novala-san. On the back are words by Novala-san, and the sentences form a story if you read the cards in order.

At the museum shop, you could buy individual cards, or get the whole set. I got the set, and one of the cards was autographed by Novala-san.

When I went to reserve my copy of the Baby DVD last month, the shop staff asked me whether I wanted a ticket for their December event. I could choose from the Baby event (with guests Aoki Misako and Midori) and the A&P event (with AKIRA as guest). So I chose the Baby event and was given this pink ticket:

Before the event started, we got in line according to the number on our tickets. After turning in the ticket, the first was the photo shoot with the two models, but the instant camera failed to work on the first try, and while we were waiting, Midori-chan suddenly turned around and fixed my hair (^_^;;;) The photo paper popped up all right on the second try, and I had some time to chat with the two while the staff was making sure the photo came out fine. Then I shook hands with the two, and that was it. The two were wearing the coordinates they’re wearing the DVD flyer, and you could advance reserve them yesterday.

The Girl’s Room space on the same floor had a number of items on sale by various artists. I started browsing when a woman approached me, and it was Lien. A number of her plushies were on sale, so I got to hear a little about what she had in mind while creating them.

I got postcards of the LIEN plushies as well as a booklet of Alice illustrations by Kari Miaki. I love Alice stuff, not just because of Pandora Hearts, but the story has always captivated me since I first read the pop-up picture book version as a child.

The novelty handed out to the attendees was a re-painted shop bag, with all the re-painting and stamping done by Naoto-san himself.

The former hEAVEN store is now a Sixh. only store, stocking Sixh., Melt, and the 617 and H&A collab items.

Naoto-san also mentioned plans to open up part of the s-inc headquarters as an art gallery.

Here’s the invitation:

Previous shows used classical music for the show BGM, but this time, the BGM was composed by moa, who also appeared in the show as a model, wearing the mannish coordinates. 2 GRAMM-moa collab T-shirts were on sale this day (available only at the hEAVEN store and the Japanese e-shop for now).

Designer Z8 mentioned that the motifs used for the collection are the male/female genitals and the female womb. (The bags all had “internal organs” in the item title as well, and the huge rabbit fur scarf Z8 was wearing had red internal organs dangling on the inside.) Graphic designer Z9 mentioned that the fourth catalogue should be ready by the next show.

The publisher of Alice Deco just came out with a new magazine on the 24th called “Gothic & Lolita Ensemble”. It is a lot like the G&L Bible in that the main feature is the brand catalog, features by Takemoto Novala and Mana-sama, and patterns for making clothing items.

There is also a “what happened in the goth-loli world this past ten years” timeline, as well as interviews with various designers.

Credits list model Aoki Misako as “kawaii producer” for the magazine. In June, a “Goth-loli Certification Test”, supervised by her, will be held. (The location is still unspecified.)

On April 10th, a “Gothic & Lolita Ensemble Store” will opening up inside the INDIVIDUAL site. You’ll be able to buy items listed in the magazine, and they’ll ship overseas as well.

The next issue is scheduled to come out May 24.

The official site for both magazines is here. The editorial department has a blog here.

I was at the h.NAOTO hEAVEN store Saturday evening for the GRAMM Winter Fashion Show.

The invitation was green like last time:

At each event, you have about half an hour after door opens to have a drink and munch on hors d’oeuvres and sweets. This time the chocolate cakes were decorated with GRAMM motifs:

There were 20 coordinates in all. They were all-black, black-and-white, or all-white, but there was a one-of coordinate that was all red (fur hat, jacket, bustier, and skirt), which was a surprise, as this was the first time there was a red coordinate. This being a winter show, there was lots of wool and fur.

This time the design drawings were printed on creme-colored paper with brown ink:

The H store has closed and re-opened this month as a time-limited “gallery shop”, with different brands featured every week. Thus this weekend it was the “GRAMM gallery”. Limited edition items, such as clothes dyed in deep green were available, and you could also watch the video of the Fall fashion show.

jelly and anarchy items are now sold at the hEAVEN store.
