Before I became a professional translator, I was a software engineer. I started out by developing software for in-house use. I spent most of my years doing R&D, developing prototypes and doing quality assurance for beta versions of products and websites. My last software job was in product support, which involved doing a little of everything.
I do both hardware and software-related translations.
Some of the other translation work I’ve done are proofreading technical papers and abstracts, translations of municipal tourist spot information, product descriptions of online shopping sites, press releases and hospital stay guides. I also do general business translations (email correspondence and whatever documents that come attached to them).
