Yesterday I headed over to Sensoji temple in Asakusa for the “Houzuki-ichi” (Lantern plant festival). The festival is held 7/9-10, and it is said that if you visit the temple during this time, it is equivalent to visiting the temple 46,000 times (!)
There were many many stalls selling houzuki:
Most of the plants are sold in baskets. You could also buy a branch of the plant (see above photo), with lots of orange fruits on them.
I bought a small basket with just the orange fruits in them.
