I went to Tower Records to pick up my copy of the indies band The.Last’s album, which dropped today. I also picked up a copy of Alice Nine’s new album. I got a poster when I paid for it, got a ticket for a lottery, and got different poster (^^)

NANA has resumed with the issue of Cookie that just went on sale. There was a message from Yazawa-sensei on the mobile NANA site that she’s fully recovered now, so I guess we’ll be able to read the series every month.

The “Leftover Christmas Cake” actually used to refer to single women once they hit 25. This is because Christmas cakes sell well until the 24th, but no one buys them once it’s the 25th. This “the younger the better” is probably one reason why “enjo kosai” (paid dating) is so prevalent here. I’ve read about men paying 3-5 man to have sex with a minor, and even up to 10 man if the girl is a virgin.

Seems to be out already.
The last chapter of this volume is the beginning of the Dark Moon arc. This is a pretty long story, and it continues on until Vol. 13.
